The engine is free.
The operating is what you buy.

BanditDB is Apache-2.0 and always will be. Start on a free managed instance, run it yourself for nothing, or hand us the pager and keep shipping.

Talk to us

Annual billing costs ten months. Founding customers keep their rate for twelve. Exceeding a cap never drops a decision โ€” we tell you, and you move up a size when you are ready.

Same engine. Different pager.

The only thing a plan changes is who gets woken up. Read the column, not the row.

Operational duty Self-hosted Cloud Custom
Provision and deploy you run it we run it we run it
Persistent storage you run it we run it we run it
Version upgrades you run it we run it we run it
Backups and restore drills you run it we run it we run it
Monitoring and alerting you run it we run it we run it
Incident response you run it we run it we run it, in your cloud
Capacity and scaling you run it we run it we run it, in your cloud
Your campaigns and rewards you run it you run it you run it

The last row never moves. Your campaigns, contexts and rewards are yours on either plan โ€” export them to Parquet whenever you like.

Questions people actually ask

What counts as a decision? +

One predict call. Rewards, campaign management and reads are not metered โ€” you are billed for decisions the engine makes, not for talking to it.

What happens when I hit the cap? +

Nothing breaks. Decisions keep being served and we tell you where you are. Move up a size when the number stops being an accident.

Is the open-source build limited in any way? +

No. The engine is Apache-2.0 in full โ€” every algorithm, the recovery path, the export tooling. Paying removes operational work, it does not unlock features.

What makes an instance "dedicated"? +

Your deployment runs alone, on its own persistent volume. Campaigns, contexts and rewards never share a process or a disk with another customer. The free tier runs on a shared instance.

Can I start on Cloud and move to self-hosted later? +

Yes, and the reverse. It is the same binary and the same state format โ€” export to Parquet, or take the volume with you.

Do I need to talk to anyone to get started? +

No. The setup agent connects over MCP, works out your arms, context and reward signal with you, and creates the campaign. It is free on every plan, including self-hosted.

When do I need Custom instead of Cloud? +

When the deployment has to live inside your own network, when data residency is written into a contract, or when procurement needs a security review and response-time commitments on paper.

Not sure it fits your decision?

Bring the decision you make over and over โ€” the actions, the context, the outcome you can measure. We will tell you honestly whether a bandit beats the rules you have.
